I don’t have to see the whole world to know that #Borikén is the most beautiful place in the world. This is why colonizers slaughtered our ancestors and neo-colonizers [disaster capitalists] continue stealing Puerto Rico with deals made by it’s corrupt government. Screaming Puerto Rico libre forever 🇵🇷🖕🏽. Enjoy my photos from my trip fall 2018. *do not repost without credit 👀*

Please listen... from @brooklynstorm - Part 2... “la espera” Recited by Dominga.... listen carefully. I had the privilege and honor to be in her presence and capture this message in person. La Casa Canales, en Jayuya. Hoy, hace 68 años, un grupo de patriotas bajo el liderato de don Pedro Albizu Campos tomó las armas contra el gobierno colonial y el gobierno de los Estados Unidos en Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷 #QueVivaPuertoRicoLibre

A true beloved revolutionary 💪🏽🇵🇷 Repost from @nuestra_patriapr using @RepostRegramApp - Today we celebrate Blanca Canales who was a Puerto Rican Nationalist who helped organize the Daughters of Freedom, the women’s branch of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party. She was one of the few women in history to have led a revolt against the United States, known as the Jayuya Uprising. In 1948, a severely restricting bill known as the Gag Bill, or Law 53, was introduced that made it a crime to print, publish, sell, or exhibit any material intended to paralyze or destroy the insular government. In response, the Nationalists starting planning armed revolution. On October 30, 1950, Blanca and others took up arms which she had stored in her home and marched into the town of Jayuya, taking over the police station, burning down the post office, cutting the telephone wires, and raising the Puerto Rican flag in defiance of the Gag Law. As a result, the US President declared martial law and ordered Army and Air Force attacks on the town. The Nationalists held on for awhile, but were arrested and sentenced to life in prison after 3 days. Much of Jayuya was destroyed, and the incident was not fairly covered by US media, with the US President even saying it was “an incident between Puerto Ricans.” #blancacanales #revolution #woman #women #womyn #queens #daughtersoffreedom #nationalistparty #nationalist #jayuyauprising #quevivapuertoricolibre #puertoricanindependence #puertoricanactivist #boricua #nuyorican #boriken #indigenous #puertoricanpride #boricuadiaspora #PuertoRicanDiaspora #diaspora #pedroalbizucampos #lares #oscarlopezrivera #elgritodelares #independence #waragainstallPuertoRicans #puertoricanflag #puertorico #puertorican

I’ll be the first one to admit, I don’t vote. I don’t see a reason to vote, because my people are shitted on either way. What I can say is this, if there was an opportunity to vote for commonwealth status, or for liberty, I’d choose a Free Puerto Rico ANY DAY #QueVivaPuertoRicoLibre 🇵🇷✊🏻
