Rigatoni & Ricotta!
Rigatoni & Ricotta were rescued from Hamilton Animal Services. They were part of a group of 6 rabbits who were abandoned in a box in a rural area of Stoney Creek.
We had Rigatoni & Ricotta fixed, and they healed up perfectly in their foster home. A couple of weeks after their surgeries, we re-introduced them & they were very happy to be together. They’ve formed a very strong bond & you won’t find one without the other now. We’re asking that Rigatoni & Ricotta be adopted as a pair so that they’ll each have a friend for life.
Here’s what their foster family has to say about them:
“Happy. That’s the first word that comes to mind when asked to describe Rigatoni & Ricotta. They are joyful rabbits. Always a jump & a “binky” for us whenever we enter the room. Their curious & lively nature is a delight to watch.
So far, they’re not fond of being picked up, but we’re working on that. Petting is also not thrilling for them, but they are much better than when they first arrived. Rigatoni is definitely more likely to sit for pats than his sister.
R & R have their own small (bunny-proofed) room in our house, and they are not caged. They will need a free living space like this, or a similar set up in their forever home. They would definitely be unhappy & stressed out if they were confined to a smaller space.
Other than a few “raisins” here and there, they are completely litter trained.
Picking up and throwing empty toilet paper rolls is a favourite activity, as well as chewing on their many toys. In addition to pellets & an endless supply of timothy hay, they enjoy a daily snack of various fruits & veggies. Their morning treat routine includes trying to climb your leg to see what goodies you’re bringing them. So adorable!
Rigatoni Ricotta are sweet, friendly bunnies, & they’d love a forever home with someone who will give them the cage free life they deserve.” Please adopt Rigatoni & Ricotta!
