Today, let's not just focus upon INDIA'S INDEPENDENCE. Let's just step a bit forward and talk about independence in real life in all aspects. So what do you think about being independent? Does it mean about the great freedom fighters or about how are we comparing the independent women before 1947 and of 2018?
Have you ever thought even once that what does Independence mean? Is it only about movies on soldiers and freedom fighters?
Okay, so let's get real.
Independence means: self-government, self-rule, self-reliance, self-standing, self-determination, self-sufficiency.
Coming on point, is there a self government? Yes. According to rights and duties that Indian government has provided us, we all are under self government. We have full right to do whatever we want to do. But, there's certain age limit for each and every action of ours. If you're thinking about rape, then let me tell you, nothing related to rape, sexual assault, etc. is listed in it. So the government isn't responsible for this but human beings and their mind is.
Are we into the feature of self rule? Yes. That's how we become independent. Isn't it? Moving to Delhi from muzzafarnagar after 12th for higher studies. What do we do there? We're there for studies. All we have is self rule over the place we've not been even once. That's what we call self rule. Partying, bullying comes under self rule only.
Coming to self-standing, we as individuals, have to stand up ourselves. There's no one who'll guide us when we're out of teenagers world and into adulthood. All we have to do is to be independent and stand upon our feet.
About self-determination and self-sufficiency, we all are self determined. If not, then we need to be one. We are ourselves sufficient to proove that what we want to do and want to achieve, can be done if determined 100%.
It's not only about how a woman is independent in today's world. If you're talking about equality, then do remember that the meaning of independence is same for both.
You can't compare and question if it's all about gender equality, equality for education and everything else. If you talk about independence, then remember that both genders stand independent equally
