🍑♿🏡🦆 Peach ~ the Handicapped House-duck ~ Daily Update! .
Peach is getting more used to being inside, and I've got a pretty good laundry routine going so I can keep him on clean towels and cat beds. When I carry him outside to spend time with the flock, he spreads and flaps his wings and I tell him that he's flying. He seems pretty comfortable, which is good, because the medicine is almost gone. He is absolutely getting stronger, but he pushes himself a little too hard. Yesterday was a very tiring day for Peach, so he/we are having an easy day today. Planning on a sweet little booty-rubbing massage after an evening bath with dried lavender and chamomile. Dinner and snuggles in bed after I put the flock up for the night.... Probably not tonight, but soon, the littles will join Taters, Big Boy, Lemon, and Zippy in the big pen and I will dismantle the arbor run for winter. I would like to build a little 'apartment' for Peach so he can be outside with them overnight. He seems much happier when around the other ducks, but I can't stand it when they leave him behind, so for now, I still control their social time. I don't know what Peach's life will be like, but we are doing everything we can to keep him comfortable, healthy, and duck-socially enriched. Thank you so much for your support and prayers. I tell Peach/Melocoton what a lucky duck/pato he is all the time! ❤🍑♿🏡🦆❤ .
