Here’s a little throwback Thursday.
1998: I was working for a large discount retailer is country NSW (Australia), one of my most memorable jobs. I was newly discovering who I was, had lived out of home for two years, was coming to terms with my sexuality and having to be a full adult having been responsible for myself for two years already. Tamworth will always have a very special place in my heart and will always be “home”. 2018: I’ve been married, and divorced. Owned a beautiful apartment is trendy Surry Hills. Well travelled. An amazing job with again, some of the best colleagues anyone could ask for. I’d been extremely skinny to the pony I looked sick, and also the heaviest I’d ever been in my life. Now I’ve discovered the gym, I’ve learnt quite a lot about myself, and continue to learn more and more each day.
A lot has changed about me in the 20 years that’s lapsed. The extremely important thing for me is that I’ve learnt so so much along the way. I’ve been heart broken many times, but I learn and get back up. I’ve learnt about mental health and don’t take things for granted, and I’ve learnt to respect myself and others. Feel every experience, good and bad. Learn what you can. Grab every damn day by the balls and make it the best damn day you could wish for.
We’re here for a good time, not a long time, with only one shot at the title! So make the fuckin most of every day.
Happy Thursday xx
