Give me a tumbledown old shack over a new house any day. What’s great about these little summer houses, “dachas” in Russian, is that they are almost always built by their inhabitants. Customised over a series of years, always a work in progress, always something breaking and needing to be fixed. And that’s the best part about them. • • I asked a friend who built his own dacha here how he went about getting permission to build and licenses for the plumbing and electricity and what the zoning laws were in the area...apparently, Russia is the REAL land of the free, lol, bc he straight up just decided, “here will be HOUSE” and built it where and how he wanted and that’s the way it goes here. Love it 🤘🏼 . . . . . . #seemycity #yetmagazine #futuremagazine #thisveryinstant #ruevillemag #pellicolamag #imaginarymagnitude #subjectivelyobjective #somewheremagazine #exploremore #welltravelled #streetdreamsmag #ourstreets #spjstreets #everybodystreet #hsdailyfeature #streetmeetina #urbanandstreet #pursuewithpassion #thisaintartschool #ignant #everybodystreet #desertmagazine #rundownmagazine #verybusymag #phroommagazine #noicemag #visualvoicemag #ourmag

“Oh sospiri insetti dell’avvenire vi attendo nell’ombra che sapete per confidarvi segreti che daranno da pensare segreti così fluidi che vi coleranno tra le dita come i minuti tra le cosce di una bella donna e il sonno degli insensati nel sole di mezzogiorno”... [Péret]

“I wondered if weaving old things with the new was her attempt at merging timelines. If through her art, she was constantly reaching backwards in time and dragging the ghosts of the past into the present.” —J. Chibike #yashica
