Or are you half way through one now? 💪. . Today was my #dayone session. I think I should of made this week a #detrain week, as I am feeling a bit flat. BUT instead of giving up when I felt tired, I just did less. So instead of my 3 sets for each block of work, I just did two sets. 🤓 And I’m so glad I stuck with session and didn’t give up! #modify your sessions as much as YOU NEED. Don’t worry about what the person next to you is doing, FOCUS ON YOU. 😉 . I find training really helps YOU get to know YOU. During my warm up, I felt fine but as soon as I started to load, I started to wear out. So this signaled to me, to be #gentle today. Do you #listentoyourbody ? My #dayone : 1A: Bottom’s Up Squat: 32kg X 12 reps X 3 sets. 1B: TRX Body Rows: 15 reps X 3 sets. 2A: Reverse Burpee + Inchworm Push up= 1 rep X 12 reps X 3 sets. 2B: BB Bent Over Row: 32kg X 15 reps X 3 sets. 3A: KB: S/L Deadlift + C&P: 12kg X 10 reps e/s X 3 sets. 3B: KB: Pullover: 12kg X 15 reps (not filmed) 4A: Tricep Push Ups: iso hold X 8 reps X 3 sets. These felt hard today! 5A: FB: Passover: 12 reps X 3 sets. 5B: KB Swings: 16kg X 30 reps X 3 sets. . I felt strong in : Bottom’s Up Squat, Reverse Burpee + Inchworm Push Up, Bent Over Row, Hamstring Curls and Kettlebell Swings (for 30 reps, this is where I fatigue fast!). #weallhaveahunger @florenceandthemachine couldn’t have said it better. 😉 We ALL have a hunger! It’s what drives us to do the impossible ☄️ . . . The question is, do you TAP into that hunger and apply it to your health? 🧐 This is the difference between those who succeed and those who don’t. Those who succeed, do the work regardless of HOW they felt. They might do a modified a session to accommodate an injury or soreness, but they keep going. 😉 . . I hope I’ve showed this throughout the last 6 months- there are days when my body feels great to do weights and I do, then there are other days I don’t feel like weights, so I don’t. I do something else instead, knowing I’ll come back to my weights when my body feels good. Bonus? 🤓 No injury’s at all (except the one I did to myself) and my lifts have continued to get heavier. 👌 I’ve achieved the #results I’ve hoped too and so much more. This comes from “having a hunger” to be as healthy and as strong as I can be. 💥 What’s your “hunger” to train when you don’t want to? What keeps you motivated on un-motivated days? 😎 . . Today was my #dayone and I got some good #results : #bottomsupsquat : 12 reps, at 30kg’s for all 3 rounds; #elevatedhipthrust first time at 20kg’s for 12 reps + 12 sec iso hold at the end; a slight variation on the #reverseburpees adding a KB Swing at the top of the movement (been mindful of where you land your hips to look after your lower back)- plus its only 1 swing, so go heavy! And lastly #bentoverrow first time at 35kg’s for 8 reps. Felt strong today with all my #lifts which is a great feeling! . . How is your training going? What results are you getting? Hey Team! Your #reminder to leave the office/study or couch and do something for yourself! Because #selfcareisntselfish 😉 Imagine how good you’ll feel afterwards 👌🤩. . Today was my #dayone session. The last few weeks, I’ve been working on higher reps ranges (12-15-20)- as I want to be strong at all rep ranges whilst doing heavy weights- so this week and for the next 2 weeks, I’ll be focusing on lower rep ranges (8-12). Today I got some good results: * front squat/bottoms up squat: 30kg’s for 10 reps (I was really wanting to find my 8 rep max); *15kg’s for Elevated Hip Raises, * Double Swings: first time at 1 X 16kg AND 1X 20kg. 10 reps with the 20kg on each side, each round. I actually felt strong and safe. 💪 And lastly, 32kg’s in Bent Over Row X 10 reps. These results only happen because I put the #timeandeffort into my workouts. Can you remember back to January this year, where my #bottomsupsquat was only 10kg’s? And now 5 months on I’m doing 30kg’s. The best I’ve ever done for a front squat. 🙌 This can be #youtoo 😃 . . Hey Team! 👋 How did your #monday go? Did you make time to #workout today? 😃 Or when have you planned to this week? 😉😉 . Today was my #dayone session, and I got some great results today 🤩 My pb improvements are: *first time at 25kg’s for a Bottom’s Up Squat, and nailed 12 reps, each round 💪 * 15 reps in 55 seconds for all 3 rounds of Reverse Burpee 👌; AND * first time at 30kg’s for B.B. Bent Over Row - ever! 😱 Even when I was fit, I still couldn’t Row more than 25kg’s for 6-8 reps... BUT today I managed to do 12 reps, each round. So proud, this has been a real challenge for me. 😬 This can be you too!!! #consistencyiskey when achieving results. To give an example- some weeks, I managed to get all 4 strength sessions completed and other weeks, I could only manage 2 strength sessions. But regardless, I kept at my sessions and didn’t worry about each week been perfection, and I just focused on the current session, doing the best that I could. You’ll find, you will have some awesome sessions getting pb’s and then other sessions (most sessions) are about turning up and doing the work. 😉🤗 #goodthingstaketime -think- if this was easy, everybody would be eating well and exercising regularly... but they aren’t. Today’s #workoutwednesday with #matrixagemanagement: #Reverseburpees -Begin in a standing position, with your feet hip-width apart, arms extended overhead, and core braced. This will be your starting position. -Bend at the knees, and in a single controlled motion, lower yourself to the floor, rolling onto your back and bringing your knees in towards your chest. Keep your hands overhead. Use momentum to kick forward, landing back on both feet. -Extend through your knees and hips to stand up, and explosively jump straight up, getting as much height as you can. -Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions or time.
