*** 10.000KM DONE ***
Disclaimer: story is way longer than my seatpost.
A lot of people think I have been cycling for a very long time, so figured I’d explain so next time I can just send people to this post. I’m lazy, Come at me💁🏻♀️ So, the first time I rode a few km’s on a roadbike was in the beginning of 2017 I think. I was seeing this guy and he had two bikes, and My broke-student-ass needed to borrow one. I soon realized it’s fun to be faster than everybody else, so in ‘17 I cycled some more. Unfortunately got hit by a car, and the bike was ruined. Which marks the rebirth of my Cannondale CAAD4 aka BAE1 (I know🙄😂) and yes, I was afraid to ride with cleats back then.... then I borrowed same boy’s Ridley for no apparent reason, and rode that for the rest of 2017 (2000km or so) in January I Bought BAE2, my ♥️Giant OCR, I rode a lot during that time because it helped me deal with the loss of my dad at the same time as the boy broke things off (and wanted his Ridley back... it was a comfortable bike okay🙄). After some time I started dating someone new, who happened to be a triathlete (still think they are crazy😬) so more cycling, however, at the end of summer I realized that my feelings had changed, and when I’m unhappy I guess I do some kinda retailtherapy, so I bought the Giant PA-2, my first carbon bike. Triathlete and I broke up around that time, and rather than eating my feelings away or being sad (because I tried not to be a cunt and well failed) , I cycled, a lot. So, now it’s November, I’m at 10K, did 50.000+ elevation meters(pretty much since September), live in Germany for a while, and am dating a guy who rides a mtb. (I know. What could possibly go wrong 🤦🏻♀️😎) Moral of the story: When all seems to go to shit, I ride my bike
When the weather is really nice, I ride my bike
When I have eaten too many Snickers, I ride my bike. .
