From the candid moments, to the inability to take a normal photo; from the constant squeals and giggles, to the blissed out silence shared; this is how I want to make my memories. I would happily trade in the “perfect” insta photos any day for the silly laughs, the dirt under my nails, the black mama earth on the bottom of my feet, and the quality connection I get to truly experience and let grow.
Our minds have only so much capacity at the end of the day. Choose carefully what you focus on and question regularly if that focus is nourishing to your heart and soul. Even with the little day to day things - am I truly taking in this moment, this surrounding as a blessing? Or am I focusing instead on the external validations of tomorrow? What happens when I switch my focus then to truly absorbing the abundance of connection with loved ones, myself, and nature? Do I start to act differently, look differently, gravitate towards other ppl differently? Question what lenses are sitting in front of your soul’s eyes. Question the blockages and then gently move them out of the way. This life is short. Let your soul guide you. Nothing more would ever be needed.
