1 in 10 women are affected by endometriosis, I am 1 in 10. I had my first surgery on Monday to remove the endometriosis on my right ovary and womb, I am hopeful this will bring me some relief in the future. I am still recovering 6 days later, and I realise that the recovery period is a lot longer and harder than I anticipated.
Going from training almost daily to none at all, has knocked me massively, and i miss it, especially when I feel like all the hard work I have achieved over the last few months is lost. Despite these setbacks, I am trying to remain as positive as I can, as I know further down the line another surgery will be certain. I am confident that I will get back on track once I am fully recovered and be able to smash training and put my all into it.
———————————————————— For all of those ladies who may be experiencing the same problems, we may be left we scars and more surgery, but we have the support from each other and you are not alone. I feel so lucky to have such understanding friends and family who have supported me through this, thank you and thanks to all the incredible staff at Nuffield in Cheltenham, I cannot thank you enough! Love to all of you ladies who are struggling with this frustrating disease, you are all amazing women, be strong, be brave 💕 🙏 —————————————————— #endometriosissurgery #endometriosis #endo #fitspo #motivation #recovery #surgery #endometriosisawareness #endosisters #endosupport #endowarrior #flowers #appreciationpost #thankful #feelingblessed #loved #womenempowerment #womenstandtogether #endolife #bebrave #bestrong #roadtorecovery #instafit #determination
