Yes . For my morning practice . I Meditate but keep it simple with 15 Minutes . I hug myself and Send out love to everyone . I Clean the floor on my knees I put on an Imagination Jacket in the colour and Form i like and I Meditate again. Then I read a little morning Meditation out loud for two times taking Care of the words. . I have a picture of my mother and father and I Bow down before them saying thank you. I Just started this one As I Realized getting very Rebellion inside of Me and I did Not feel good with it. . . . I slowly add more to my routine but it took Me 3 months now to Make it stable and its still hard work now but gets easier and Lighter As I feel now I Need it. It takes Me around half an hour . OF Course sometimes its Not possible then I try to go through everything Just in my Mind very Quick. . Its Important for Me to Wake up and Take my time. I never stand up right away. Also I feel its very nuriting to Meditate Light and love which I Do. . So that what Ever happens. As I create every MORNING this peace moment I can go back There during my day. . I am very disciplined and try to do the Routine every day As only consistancy in my eyes can Change you. . As I have a full day in Front of Me full of movement I dont feel like doing a Workout before. . Love. Devotion. Light. Imagination. Consciousness about my thoughts. RECOVERY 😴 When we exercise we are providing a stimulus to promote change, however, it’s during recovery that the muscle, cells, and body adapts and makes changes to allow for increase fitness. Without recovery, the body cannot repair, and therefore it’s important to have a good recovery strategy following exercise. Here are five ways you can enhance your recovery. 🤸‍♀️ 1. Self-myofascial release (SMR) – Muscle tissues have elastic properties however overtime continued usage causes a build-up of collagen and other waste products that result in knots. Foam rolling or other forms of SMR can break down these collagen fibers, promote blood flow and increase lymphatic drainage. Research suggests that SMR can promote recovery post exercise and also prevent injuries pre-exercise. 2. Hot or Cold exposure – Sauna’s and hot baths can help increase blood circulation which helps remove waste products such a lactate and can help improve recovery. Ice baths or cryotherapy has also been shown to promote recovery by constricting and dilating blood vessels, moving blood through the body bring nutrients and oxygen to the damaged tissue. 3. Post workout nutrition – the addition of protein and carbohydrate in a 1:3 ratio has been demonstrated to promote protein synthesis and glycogen replenishment following exercise. It is therefore essential to replace these essential nutrients within 30-45 minutes post-exercise. 4. Yoga- especially the slower more passive yoga has been shown to promote parasympathetic nervous activation. This is the nervous response associated with switching off. This helps with rest and digestion that can aid in recovery promotion. 5. Sleep – during stage 3 and REM sleep, hormones such a growth hormone and Insulin-like growth factors are released through activation of the mTOR pathways. These are important for the immune response to skeletal repair. Lacking sleep can reduce muscular repair by up to 70%. 💤 Scheduling regular rest periods in your training periodisation is vital. The body requires time to recover, and it’s during this period that we shall see the strength and muscular improvements. Without adequate recovery, injury and burnout

Herbed Quinoa Stuffed Capsicum Ingredients * 1 large red capsicum * 50g uncooked quinoa grains * 1/2 cup parsley, finely chopped * 1/2 cup basil, finely chopped * 1/4 cup coriander, finely chopped * 1/3 brown onion, diced * 2 garlic cloves, crushed * 1 tsp. turmeric powder * 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil * 1 tbsp. sunflower seeds Directions 1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper 2. Remove the top of the capsicum (set aside) and scoop out the seeds and membrane. Place the capsicum on the tray standing up 3. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and saute the onion with 1 crushed garlic for a few minutes 4. Add 2 cups of water, quinoa, turmeric and remaining garlic and continue cooking for a further 15 minutes. Season with Himalayan salt and pepper. Remove from the heat 5. Mix in the coriander, basil, parsley and sunflower seeds 6. Pour the quinoa mix into the middle of the capsicum. Place the top back on the stuffed capsicum 7. Bake the capsicum in the oven for 20 minutes or until the capsicum skin begins to darken 8. Once cooked, remove the herbed stuffed capsicum from the oven and serve on a plate

On Saturday I ran 50k in very hot conditions and said to myself with 10k to go and cramping severely that this will be my last run this year, time to head back to the drawing board and reevaluate my goals. But after 2 days rest I got out there and got the legs turned over on a nice little 5k run, I’ve realised I do need to give my body longer to adjust to this new discipline I’m enjoying so much, sometimes I feel the progress is to slow and ramp it up to a level I can’t maintain, not at close to 40 years of age and 90kg/200lb, I cant turn back the clock or loose to much more weight so I’ve gotta work with what I’ve got and that’s time, I’m not making excuses either, there’s more then one way to skin a cat and if I’m to enjoy running now and in the future I need to approach things differently then I have been. Quante volte sappiamo che dobbiamo fare qualcosa ma semplicemente non riusciamo a costringerci a farla, nonostante sappiamo perfettamente quanto questo sia importante, che si tratti di studiare, di fare quella chiamata scomoda, di organizzare un appuntamento, di dire la propria e la lista continua all’infinito. Questo non riuscire a compiere il primo passo dell’azione necessaria è noto purtroppo a tutti noi, chi più chi meno, come procrastinare. Oggi per la serie #thepowerofhabit volevo condividere quelle che per me sono tre tecniche che possono aiutarci nel fare quel primo passo dell’azione che tanto dobbiamo svolgere. 1. Al primo posto c’è sicuramente la regola dei 5 secondi, di cui parla l’autrice @melrobbinslive : cinque secondi è il tempo che il nostro cervello impiega per darci mille buone ragioni per non agire. Contando fino a 5 e compiendo direttamente il primo passo dell’azione (ad esempio alzare la cornetta del telefono) possiamo contrastare questa tendenza. 2. In secondo luogo cercare, magari proprio con la tecnica dei 5 secondi, di aggredire il compito più complesso o di cui abbiamo meno voglia o che comunque ci risulta più problematico come primo compito della giornata. Questo ci darà una spinta di energia positiva per cui andremo avanti con altri compiti quasi in pilota automatico. 3. Come ultimo consiglio di fissare al massimo 3 cose da portare a termine durante la giornata. Pianificarne di più può essere controproducente facendoci sentire sommersi di cose da fare e con la sensazione di comunque non riuscire a portare a termine tutto. Tra le cose da fare principali poi ovviamente possono essere “infilati” punto della nostra to do list più immediati e veloci, da pochi minuti (prendere un appuntamento dal medico piuttosto che svuotare la lavastoviglie). E voi cosa fate per assicurarvi di portare a termine i vostri compiti durante la giornata?
