The @ twins are clever for more reasons than one. The pricing is spot on, the performance too. Meant for mass appeal. Meant as an accessible leisure motorcycle, while still being a relevant upgrade for the RE fans. At this price point it effectively keeps a check on existing and upcoming mass premium motorcycles. While we wait for the 390 Adventure, RE has sort of landed its first jab at the small massy KTMs & any upcoming “alliance” motorcycles.
The rules of the game have changed.
You now need to look BIG, feel big under 2.5lakhs to make a business case if you intend to rake in the numbers, else go the niche way - expect a premium on niche specialities.
Which means the RC can get more focused, the Adv too, the Duke bringing more bells and whistles and the RR grow some more track teeth. What next then?
500 twins (Hello Honda) , 400 singles (Hello all) all around the pricing set by RE or just pretentious oversized small motorcycles.
What would you love to see next? .
