today marked the first intentional run of 2019 🌞
I’m not much of a runner (actually I’m not even close to being a runner) but I’ve always wanted to be. I love the feeling of a run (until I’m panting like a dehydrated horse and my knees give out on me like my grandmas), but have always felt so defeated when I can never run as long as, as fast as or as far as I want to that I give up almost as quick as I start.
BUT, I was reminded recently about how far I’ve come, how determined I can be and how ABLE my body is - so today I ran like the wind (actually more like a broken aircon that struggles to pump out air, but that’s beside the point). •
I only ran for 2kms with a few stops (hence the slow pace on the app haha), and walked the rest (bare in mind I live in the country and it’s semi hill like terrain so I mean I’m not mad and it was HOT), but I did it. I started - and I’m excited to set a new mini goal for my next run, and to KEEP progressing. Baby steps 👶🏻💛
