What do I need to perform at my best?
Being able to get the most out of my performance when I'm climbing is something I sometimes struggle to do in more stressful environments like competitions. Whether it's not getting the correct beta or foot slips these little errors can make a huge difference in where I place.
3 Key things I've learnt over the last few years to keep my mistakes to a minimum;
~Turning up early so I have plenty of time to warm up and get my head into the right place.
~Making sure I have just enough pressure, too little and I don't try hard enough too much and I get upset if I mess up.
~Having good support with me, whether it's my girlfriend, team mates or my dad, having someone to talk things through with and to offer words of encouragement is always useful.
