i don't believe in "talent."
the concept stops so many artists from making their work- or if they do make their work, they spend tons of energy wondering whether they're "talented" enough to have permission to do what they love.
what the hell is "talent," anyway?
basically, when they say "talented," people mean "able to make great work."
but the ability to make great work doesn't come from some mysterious ephemeral "thing" that we're just born with, or not. the ability to make great work comes from mastering CRAFT. craft is a container for art. and when you nail the craft part, the art will show up.
if you work with story (film, TV, theater, novel or memoir), "craft" means universal story structure. our response to well-crafted story is wired into our brains- its reliable. if you learn to work with it--and animate it with a deep, three-dimensional understanding of character- your work will be impactful.
my revolutionary course "Character Based Story Structure" is only on sale for FOUR MORE DAYS. this course is epic, and thorough, and deep. it contains the complete methodology I've used to coach Sundance-supported filmmakers, award-winning Off-Broadway playwrights, published novelists, and network showrunners into their most powerful work. it works whether you're a first time writer or an experienced industry veteran. and you can do it at your own pace- once you buy the course (delivered July 25) you have lifetime access to all of it.
you don't need "talent." you need TOOLS.
my methodology (grounded in neuroscience, monomyth, analytical psychology and more) goes DEEP--but it's also practical. great craft is like that, because it's sacred geometry. it's transcendent, and it's real. there's nothing ephemeral about it.
click the link in my bio to get your hands on these tools for FOUR MORE DAYS. they'll never be offered at this price again.
