Tip#9 - Fight your fears and insecurities. Let God help you overcome.
Many times, our and make us enter or remain in we have no business in? In those moments, we believe the lie that it's better to be in a bad/unhealthy relationship than to be alone. People tell us to manage, and take whatever we get. Now, this is not about because it doesn't exist but about not letting the pressures and our emotions get us into terrible situations.
Two amazing ladies (slide left for pictures) share from their story:
"The craziest thing I did to remain in a relationship is turn the cheek on cheating. To stick it out with a man who hasn’t committed to himself, you or doesn’t value holy matrimony is now a no no. There are things single women tolerate that are really foolish. I did. This happens when you don’t get your value, or have a sense of purpose for your life —it’s easy to go along with a little bit of this and that. I believe getting engaged with you and God changes all that." @ also has resources to help single women with themselves and remain connected to their source, God. ❗️
@g "The craziest thing I've ever done is go to another country to visit someone I liked. When I was in college (and before I was a Christian), I met someone in a chat room who lived in England and thinking I was being romantic, I booked a flight there around Valentine's Day. It was the first time we were going to meet in person although we had spoken on the phone. I booked a B&B in Notting Hill after seeing the movie Notting Hill with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts because I wanted to be the girl who was asking the boy to love her. We even went to Dublin Ireland for a couple of days. Looking back, I see how incredibly foolish I was doing this. So many things could have gone horribly wrong but I believe even then God was protecting me. Nothing ever came from that trip and hopefully, I've become wiser than who I was back then even though I still love British accents!"
