“Nobody's going to do your life for you. You have to do it yourself, whether you're rich or poor, out of money or raking it in, the beneficiary of ridiculous fortune or terrible injustice. And you have to do it no matter what is true. No matter what is hard. No matter what unjust, sad, sucky things befall you. Self-pity is a dead-end road. You make the choice to drive down it. It's up to you to decide to stay parked there or to turn around and drive out.” 💪🏻
I hesitated to post this quote because I like to keep things as positive as I can, and that’s normally pretty natural and easy. And this quote is positive in its message to dust yourself off and move along, but there’s the element of “things haven’t been great,” too, and that’s why I hesitated. And I overthink things like this. Can you tell? 🤷🏼♀️ Anywho. I’ve needed a kind, gentle kick in the rear to start working myself out a rut I’ve been in. And this quote resonated and lifted me in a way similar to how Max Patch lifted me. So the quote and photo together make sense to me. And, maybe someone else out there needs that gentle kick, too? ❤️ I hope you have a good day today, friends. Soak in the sunshine. ✨
@, your words are so often just what I need to hear. Thank you.
