Step back in time with Richards Design Group as we venture into Hoskins Drug Store, Soda Fountain and Restaurant for this week’s team meeting.
We were definitely fueled by the selection of “good food” breakfast options, coffee, and (even though we didn’t indulge) practically any ice cream specialty you could think of created at their vast soda fountain.
When Hoskins opened this particular location on North Main Street in 1947, it was headlined as “The Drugstore of Tomorrow”. Many of the store’s original features remain seemingly untouched by time, even the wooden high-backed booths and spinning counter stools. Hoskins was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
Somehow we were still able to remain focused on our production meeting and usual discussion of existing and upcoming projects, but we did so in awe of the rich history Hoskins provided, several old photos, and retro souvenirs. It was truly an inspirational visit, and we look forward to returning another day.
Thanks to @ for an inspiring meeting location!
