I’ve been thinking about when I first started my fitness journey. I just got home from my horrendous first year of college- I cut out a lot of the junk food, sugary drinks and pop, stopped staying up until 2 am and started getting up earlier. I made healthier food swaps and started exercising. It was S I M P L E.
Now 3 years later, I think I’m mentally more unhealthy. If I want to go for a run, I think “I have to lift weights too, I can’t just run... it’s a rule”.
I think that I have to eat foods that are dairy free, gluten free, soy free, organic, Paleo... HAVE I LOST YOU WITH ALL THAT??
My point is, fitness nowadays is all about labeling things and it’s freaking confusing for people who are just starting out or even people who have been into fitness for years. So let’s just stop feeling the need to label E V E R Y T H I N G under the sun and just be healthy. Make healthier choices, do what feels right for you. If you want to eat something that’s not Paleo, that doesn’t mean you suddenly aren’t healthy anymore! LIVE YOUR LIFE AND JUST DO YOU! ❤️
