THE SEVEN STEPS OF PRESENTATIONS
In order to plan and deliver a successful presentation, you need to follow certain steps.
During the last days I wrote about step 1, 2,3 and 4- PLANNING, ORGANIZATION, PRACTICE AND THE INTRODUCTION.
Today I will tackle the fifth step in the process:
THE MAIN BODY
The focus of the main body is to give the audience detailed information about several topics you chose to present.
Don't chose more than four or five topics because there is a limit to what the public is able to absorb.
Use linking words to connect the topics with eachother - for example:
Let's move on now to the next topic, what's more, next point, moreover, furthermore etc.
Make sure that the topics are in a coherent order to make it easy for the audience to follow your line of thoughts.
Use good quality visuals that are in themselves logically connected to the topics you are talking about.
Observe the audience during this part carefully to make sure that the information is absorbed and there are no misunderstandings or lack of understanding. If necessary, ask the audience, if they have any doubts.
And don't forget - EVERYTHING THAT CAN YOU SAY, SHOULD BE SAID CLEARLY.
Be sure that your language, the technical terms and the vocabulary you use, are FULLY understood by the public.
Make short pauses between the topics to ngive the audience time to let the information sink in before you move on to the next topic.
Stay tuned - in a couple of days I will write about the next step:
