So I broke my strict diet intentionally this week , I got to Turks & Caicos and lost my mind. I popped an edible before we even made it to the resort COMPLETELY FORGETTING I don’t eat “baked goods”. I caught myself, my first meal on the island I managed to eat vegan, I bought myself some eggplant, etc. and did pretty good for the first two days. Then we went toa fish fry, and i didn’t even break then... or at least I thought. I had beans and rice, assuming there was only beans and rice in the beans and rice (Don’t know why I would even assume that) and I got sick as a dog. So I decided to minimize my stress, not starve, and minimize food consumption surprises, and more importantly enjoy the island fish. I ate pescatarian for the majority of my trip. The shyt was bomb, I had lobster, tuna (twice) French toast, edibles, conch and eggs. 🤷🏽♀️ The beautiful thing about this is, I’m ready to go back to my vegan diet. As good as the tuna was, I prefer the other side. Tomorrow night when I get back to DC, I can’t wait to treat myself to Mac n’ cheese from NuVegan. Good food is good, great food is better.
