It wasn't so long ago that members of our beautiful Sonoma County faced tragedy and terror as fire tore through and flattened dreams. Barely over a year and we are still putting pieces of lives back together.
Now, Butte, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties are face to face with the same terror. An entire town, Paradise CA completely obliterated. Thousands of people displaced, lives lost, pets perished. All so very similar to our nightmare of 13 months ago. .
Its a strong reminder that no one is any better than anyone else. We are all human. Humans need us right now. Even if you can't send money or supplies to those affected, you can help in other ways. Like, being kind to those around us. .
Some are still dealing with the aftermath of our own experience. A smiling, put together face masks a battle unseen to the naked eye. Before you react, pause, think, and choose kindness in your responses to even the most mundane things. .
It only takes a moment for a life to change, or even end. Your interactions with someone might be their last. .
Thinking of you Butte, Ventura, and Los Angeles County. We were but now we are .
