The ambitious are often criticized by those who have given up 💥 - @grantcardone . . Sound a little harsh? It's supposed to be...idk about you but I feel like we tend to get complacent with the "status quo" and feel all 😒 whenever someone tried to gut check us 😳... . . I heard this quote while doing my PD this morning and it got me reflecting on my week (check out my stories for the deets 👀)...anyways...point is that whenever we are feeling that self doubt come over us (I did BIG TIME this week 🙈) we need to remember that we do ADD VALUE and possess WORTH 🌟 . . People are not lazy they just lack energy for impotent visions, that is creative plans that do not inspire them. Perfection is a disguise for insecurity it’s your safety barrier that you put up to protect yourself, it’s just as an excuse for not being confident. All learning is emotional state dependent, the emotional feelings you feel get anchored to that learning, then directly get linked to the level of knowledge you are trying to obtain. Intrinsic motivation is a word I have for purpose and meaning. A self control strategy brings positive consequences and emotion regulation. Nothing has power over my family other than what we give it through our conscious thoughts. Not our subconscious prisons. Awareness is when the mind starts listening and following your heart. Direct messages are where it’s at with Instagram. People are really wanting to gain 10k followers, so they have the swipe up feature. Bit of advice though - the swipe up feature isn’t even that special. ⠀ ⠀ If you want people to go to a certain link, tell them to dm you, which is super super easy to do straight from your story. Say/write “dm me to get the link”, you’ll not only directly send them the link, but you are now starting a conversation with them. A conversation which you can then follow up later. A few days after sending them the link, you can ask them what they thought of the content you were sharing. It’s almost another form of email marketing, it’s really personalised and shows you who exactly is interested in your content and services/products. ⠀ ⠀ So, do yourself favour today by encouraging people to dm you from your story and see how many conversations you can start and relationships you can start building 💁🏼‍♀️✨

EARTH PRACTICE Earth practice is all about bringing ourselves back down to earth, into the presant moment and out of our heads. This is a great one for anyone that struggles with feelings of anxiety, being overwhelmed, stressed or in the midst of change whether it be positive or negative. ROOT CHAKRA (Muladhara) Within the chakra system earth practice is assosiated with the root chakra (muladhara). This chakra point is the link between the physical world and our energetic system and is the base for our the energetic flow/ life force. If you hear the word Prana this refers to the energetic life force that runs through or bodies and our breath. This is the chakra point of our stability, security and our basic needs. This includes or basic needs in a material sense and emotional, ie feeling safe secure and having our needs met. This chakra is located at the very base of the spine and is visulised as the colour red. . PHYSICAL ISSUES with the lower back, legs, feet, hips, adrianal glands, colon, kindneys, bladder, large intestines, skeletal bones, blood flow to left of the heart. . 🥳🗓️🤸🏻‍♀️ Day 1️⃣8️⃣ of #AYearOfYoga2019 w/ @cyogalife ➡️ Toe #Squat Twist 🤸🏻‍♀️🗓️🥳 Very similar shape as last year’s, it’s important to work on a variation that will provide somewhat a familiar feeling to the full pose. #Pasasana is a pretty deep twist that also requires quite the squatting/balancing skills which this prep version can help. Also, expect to fall over and over again because it’s all part of the process! That’s when you know you are really testing your edges. . Start by warming up with poses like #Malasana, #SideChair, and Toe Squat plus variations of those poses. Coming high up onto the toes, begin to cross one arm over the opposite outer thigh. Hands can be together with wrists in line with the elbows or for more traction, make a fist with your bottom hand and place the other hand’s palm on top. Remember to keep the rotation in the entire spine, not just in the shoulders. Be aware of your hips + knees and that they remain in the same plane, not having one come forward over the other. For more prep, try dropping down onto the heels and come back up while maintaining the twist. Just like last year’s pose, you can also work on staying more upright and work the half bind. . As a Pt January is definitely one of the busier months, people are more motivated to start exercising or set new goals in their training which is great! Whilst I love being busy in my job, I also know that being super busy is a trigger for anxiety to creep in. That's why this first few weeks I've been really reducing my time online, trying to stay more present and focus on how I'm feeling and doing what works for me rather than focusing on what everyone else is doing. As a result I've kept my anxiety under control and been able to appreciate what is happening right in the moment. If you feel overwhelmed or anxious try putting your phone down and getting outside or reading a book or any activity but just staying focused on that one thing.
