Let’s talk about 💥STRESS💥 for a minute. I love watching my kid’s personalities develop. So different! My daughter is my mini me, and the boy is his father ha ha. One set stands by and watches, analyzing every possible scenario before jumping in. 👩👧 The other set just dives in! 👨👦 And they stress about different things too. It’s fun to manage. 🤪 But it’s got me thinking about how differently we all respond to life’s stressors. 😬 Rewind to 2014...one week before our wedding. 💍 I was under A LOT of mental stress. Readers digest version: My soon-to-be hubby didn’t get his dream job, and I worked at the place that denied him that dream. I’d go to work, play nice, then spend my evenings with a man who was oh so defeated. 😢 Talk about STRESS! And my body paid the toll (as they always do!!). My mind decided to call it quits...at Red Robin, at my friend’s birthday dinner. 🤦🏻♀️🎉 I had a grand mal seizure. My first and hopefully last. So. Many. Tests. All inconclusive. The doctors finally said it was stress-induced and sent me on my merry way. 😝 I can’t even begin to describe how that experience affected me. I felt so vulnerable!! I remember asking my fiancé, “Now that you’ve seen me black out, seize, pee my pants, and vomit, do you still want to marry me?!” 🙄🤯🚽🤮🚑 He didn’t even hesitate! True love, people. True love! My wedding and honeymoon carried me. 💞 But it was 6 months before I started feeling like myself again. 📆 Stress is no joke! How do you manage stress in your life?
