Push your limits.

🤔What seems massively counter intuitive to most of us who want to build muscle is actually highly important; taking breaks.
✅Many of you have hopefully heard of a deload (a week of lighter/less training) but taking breaks doesn't need to be limited just to that but also; light days, off days, active recovery & lower volume strength phases.
👉Just like at work we don't work day & night, we have weekends off & then we also have holiday too.
Without these we couldn't perform at our best, we'd lose focus, be less productive & ultimately stagnate & maybe even lose it all together.
✌🏼Taking breaks from your training is exactly the same, they're required for continued progress.
They allow systems to recover, repair & reduce the risk of staleness, injury & adaptive resistance.
▪️Personally I like to see everyone take at least 1 rest day a week, a deload every 4-8 weeks or so & then lower volume phases when pushing more volume in not appropriate.
⁉️Do you ever give yourself a break?
