I was able to incorporate a new exercise to my upper body workout & this week I was able to do more than last week because my pain flare had settled down today.
Was able to complete a Seated Barbell Overhead Press 7.5kg of 2 sets of 12 reps
Be sure to use your core!
Was so proud that this week my walking has improved a lot, that I’ve been starting to walk without my crutches, this week is the first time outside of home without using the crutches a lot in 9months.
My Hip Bridge exercise & getting on & off chairs I may not have enough strength for them yet, but I’m proud that my walking is improving & that I was able to have a good workout session today & socialise & smile. Women support women at Fernwood!
I may not be able to go a lot at the moment but when I can make it, I know how important it is for my mental health & for my rehab. 4months post op.
Keep focused on your goals. I’m focusing on my two physio sessions this week to get my hip, glute & right leg strength back from post op surgery, to help my recovery better.
Try new things & Don’t Give Up!
Rest but don’t quit.
