This is a pretty scary thing for me, but I think it's a step in the right direction. My whole life I've struggled with weight. Off and on I've tried exercise and a few fad diets. A year ago I injured my ankle, and I've been dealing with pain from it since, causing a bad limp, and limiting my mobility. In June, at my heaviest I've ever been, I decided to get back to the gym, and try to make better food choices. The changes I've made are things I can stick with, instead of yo-yoing between diet extremes. I go to the gym twice a week, and swim once a week.
It's now near the end of September, and I've lost about 15 pounds. Not a huge number on the scale, but I have more energy, less pain, and my clothes are getting to be too big. I actually get sad when I miss the gym. I'm developing calluses from the weight training. I hope that this journey keeps going well.
