I’m sorry you feel tired, exhausted and weak
I’m sorry you’re alone, anxious about money or trying to juggle your children
I’m sorry you have to pay for all the books, school trips away, swimming and sports/hobbies
I’m sorry you’re dealing with the tantrum of a child who wants something you can’t afford
I’m sorry you will go hungry or can’t afford new clothes because you have put your child first
I’m sorry I mentally or physically abused you
I’m sorry I don’t support you
I’m sorry I come in and out of your life as I please
I’m sorry I met someone else
I’m sorry I decided not to love you anymore
I’m sorry I picked her over you and the kids
I’m sorry for all the pain, tears and hurt I have caused you
I’m sorry I’m not sorry
I’m sorry I don’t think about my actions
I’m sorry I don’t help out more
I’m sorry I don’t realise what it’s like to be a single parent
I’m sorry I’m not around.
I don’t think us mums will ever get a sorry... Please don’t for one second, judge yourself for feeling like everything is too much to handle, being a single mum is not an easy job.. but guess what girlfriend, you are doing it, you may not feel like your strong or doing the best you can... but guess what... you are!
You have to play mum, play dad, play the mean parent, play the too kind parent... I know it’s hard sometimes but make memories with your babies, love them to bits.. take lots of photos with you and the kiddies no matter how tired you look.
Speak out and ask for help when you need it and communicate best you can, to loved ones
family and friends. And be proud of the tiny humans that you have put all the hard work into.
Being a single mum is not an easy job, but so worth it ❤️🖤 Word cred: unknown
