I’m tired today. Like, drained tired. I sure hope I don’t give the impression that I’m full of energy all the time and never struggle with “blah” moments. There are many days I wish I could crawl into bed and pull the blankets over my head and just sleep for 6 days straight (shit, I’d take 6 hours honestly). Here’s the thing; I know, I KNOW, I feel better 99% of the time if I get some movement in. That doesn’t always mean an hour of intense exercise, sometimes it’s getting out in the fresh air and walking around the neighborhood with my kids. Sometimes it’s pushing myself to the limit and seeing what I’m capable of. That’s not to say there isn’t a time and place for rest. It is so important and I’m learning how to take it (I’m a work in progress). But I want to gently encourage you to find some type of movement that feels good for YOU as we get deeper and deeper into these cold, wintery days. Physical exercise is not just good for your body and heart, but for your brain and mood, too! Let’s not forget about our insides! They need love! As hard as it is going to be to peel my pasty ass off the couch this evening for class, I’m going to do it and I’m going to feel like a million bucks afterwards. Nothing beats that post-HIGH endorphin rush! I don’t just do it for me (or for the fact that I have a class full of people waiting for me to show up 😂), I do it for them. I’m a better mom during the day when I take a little time for myself to move my body. If you’re looking for a little mood-lifter, join me tonight at 7pm! First class is free!
