PUSH THROUGH MONDAY 👊🏻 It was hard getting back to the gym after not working my muscles after the entire weekend full of werk werk werk. This month is getting so busy, it’s starting to catch up but I made a promise to myself to keep pushing through. 45 minutes into today’s workout I also felt nauseated (I felt that way last week too and thought to myself, am I not eating enough?). I figured I’d keep going, I was almost done. Took it a little easy but managed to finish PWR week 5 LEG DAY. Excited to see my girls @munfung.unrefined @slothlifediaries @stillandsteady at @thefieldfitness tomorrow - it’s a much needed break from work + definitely want to see these lovely girls, too!

Another photo of home. I took this photo yesterday during my walk with mum. Getting in 5,000 steps felt good and allowed me to reach my goal of 10,000. I don't reach it very often and that's something I want to change. . This morning, you wouldn't even think I took that photo. It's cold and hasn't stopped drizzling all morning. I like days like today, apart from the fact that it is harder to get out of bed. . I got in breakfast which is something new. I made a bloody delicious smoothie to start the day of right. I'll be doing legs later on today. I stayed in bed too long oops. . Make sure to enjoy your day and focus on the little things that make our world so beautiful (just like you).

The first time I went out running after a 2 year break I was supposed to run for 30 min nonstop. So I went out running and I had to stop 3 times to be able to complete 30 minutes. A few days later I tried again and this time only stopped twice, which was progress for me. Next day I went out again and you guessed it I only stopped once that time and eventually I could run 30 minutes without interruptions. That was one of my first goals. _ My point is to stop over thinking it. You start to over think things and the doubts slowly start to creep in. Set a goal and slowly work towards it. Get a good play list and go out and run or walk do some yoga or strenght training. Do whatever you genuinely like to do. *Adds CVS run to the to-do list today🙄 . My lips are affected the most by this allergy that’s happening. This the skin right around them that is SO irritated and itchy. It comes and goes in waves (every week) and has been going on since July. It got a bit better when I switched my tooth paste to @toms_of_maine but didn’t completely subside. Currently finding a new allergist to do a scratch test- wish me luck 😭🙌 . Hope everyone has a killer Monday and doesn’t lose their backpack chapstick like I did!😂🖤

One full week without being able to sweat.. I’m ready to hit the gym to say the least😂 . Results from my allergy test: found out I’m HIGHLY allergic to cobalt chloride hexahydrate...what??? Haha. It’s a metal that’s used to produce blue colors in pottery, glass, porcelain and enamel. Doesn’t help to know what’s going on with my skin currently but good to know if I ever need dental work in the future🤷‍♀️! A bit frustrated because now I have to do a scratch test with my allergist - bring on all the itch! Hopefully I can get this thing figured out🙌 . Off to the kitchen to work and then hitting the gym💪CAN’T WAIT!!! Hope everyone has a cozy, lazy Sunday with lots of football and friends 😌🖤 #fitfuzzy

Forgot to update after Arms & Abs on Wednesday, but I did complete it 😜 Had to take a rest day yesterday after a rather unpleasant situation at work. Normally, working out helps my stress level, but this matter wiped me out and I just needed a vent session with drinks with the husband. Today’s a new and better day, so I was able to put myself to work. I decided to goof off and try an Insta pose, but I’m not great at it and also, I may need to add more weight to my glute workouts lol. Hope everyone has a good weekend! It's challenging and had just the right amount of push for me. CABLE KICKBACKS . This is a great exercise to strengthen and grow your Glutes. I see people doing them pretty often, but some people ask me questions about how they can feel it more in their Glutes and not their lower back. . 2ND VIDEO: WRONG . 1️⃣my back is arched, taking the contraction away from the Glutes and will involve your lower back. 2️⃣My leg is bent in almost a “donkey kick” style, not targeting the Glutes as well as another variation (IMO) 3️⃣I am “kicking” too fast to benefit from a hold and slow release. . 1ST VIDEO: RIGHT . 1️⃣My spine is neutral and CORE IS ENGAGED to Target the Glutes and alleviate low back pain. 2️⃣My leg is straight and driving up through my heel to a full contraction in my glute at the top. 3️⃣I am holding the contraction and performing a slow and controlled release to stimulate muscle strength and growth. . My favorite tips: . -Play around with your formation and find a formation that works best for you and that you can feel it best! -use the right attachment. I used to have to use handles to do these and I would be so focused on keeping my foot in that I wouldn’t be paying attention to the exercise. These @ritfit_sports straps make is super easy and convenient for a TON of exercises! -Make a mind muscle connection FIRST. I warm up with my @fearless.spirits bands doing banded lateral walks in a squat to wake up my Glutes and get them firing so I know where I’m supposed to be feeling it💪 . That’s it guys! NEED SOME HELP: So I've been a little more MIA than I intended. This week I had to wake up at 3am to get in my training at the gym. By the end of the day, I'm so exhausted. Meal prepping and training consistently is no joke. It takes time, effort, and good planning. Honestly, if I could "automate" some of the planning it would free up some of my time, so I could do other things I enjoy which is why I'm seriously considering purchasing a fitness app (since I can't afford a chef or a personal trainer atm😆). I want an app I can follow in the long run and ideally track my progress. An app that will essentially plan my workouts for me. They're sooo many out there, but I've narrowed it down to 2. The Sweat App @sweat - PWR by Kelsey Wells program. This is all the rave by so many people. A hypertrophy training program to get ripped. OR Fitbod @fitbodapp an app that creates custom weight training workouts depending on your goals. For example: strength, muscle toning, bodybuilding, etc. Do you guys have any suggestions? Mood on my birthday eve!😂 . Tomorrow is my bday and I turn 26 - LETS GO! So much has changed in my life this past year - starting @yomibites, traveling, moving out of the city, celebrating 5 freaking years with Nick and getting a new sister-in-law. It has been amazing to say the least, but don’t get me wrong, this was also the hardest year of my life. HARD FREAKING WORK! . Taking a risk by leaving my full time job and personal training in order to grow my business really weighed on me for a while. I miss coaching clients SO MUCH and want to return to it one day. But nothing has ever felt so right, I truly LOVE what I do. I love sharing my experiences and snacks with all the amazing people I’ve met since starting the company. .
