Hey you! Great body, but what can you do with it? • • Here we are with our athlete @savappleton during day one, phase two of her stability program. Being naturally hyper-mobile puts her at higher risk for injury. From experience we have seen success in the past by developing proprioceptive awareness through isometric and calisthenics training. The plank walkout is just one simple tool you can add to your tool box. To increase the distance travelled we suggest using sets of 3 with a RPE of 6/9.5/8 for each. When starting out try holding the end range of motion for 3-5 seconds for better control.

So the gym which happens to be attached to the plaza, right outside my hotel, is kind of small, and VERY packed by the time my class is over.. . . . So instead I decided to use the hotel gym with a few substitutions to handle my arm-back-chest workout since it already has dumbbells . . . I had a conditioning work out today but outside of that 30 minutes I spent the rest of the day seated either in the car or at home working. By the end I just felt like I needed a little more plus I’ve learned I can get a little grouchy when I don’t get enough of a work out in a day (I’m sure Luke could testify 😉😉) so here’s what I did... 4 rounds: -20 jumping lunges -5 inch worms -20 kossacks -5 90/90 flows each side Topped it off with 20 wall angels and some stretching to open up my hips and shoulders bc they were saaaaaaaad. • Move to feel good, don’t complicate it more than you have to. 🤷🏻‍♀️ • • • #athomeworkout #moveeveryday #sweateveryday #workfromhomemom #momlife #functionalfitness #movetofeelgood

Hello there. If you are wondering, YES I have NOT been myself lately. Between struggling with my job ending + finding a new (AMAZING) job + feeling like I'm not fitting in anywhere but at work. I have put on physical and emotional weight. This is week 3 of normalcy from a work and workout standpoint and I am FINALLY feeling more myself. Words hurt, as much as I don't want to admit that. Words that are said or unsaid. Especially words that I tell myself. I've let the devil tell me I am not ever going to be "skinny" again, that I shouldn't try to run, that I don't belong at the yfit class. Kicking that to the curb! 💪

Little look into my cardio class today. Have you heard of the home workout Insanity? It’s that, but as a group class. And let me tell you, this shiz is INSANE. . . . 45 minutes of non-stop cardio interval training! You’d be amazed how much muscle you can build using just your own body weight. . . . And! Did you know! I teach these classes virtually? That means I lead the class in front of a camera in my studio here on Long Island, and you set up your computer in your living room. Today I had someone from Brooklyn and someone from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! (A mother and daughter!) . . . The benefit of these classes is that you never have to leave your home, but I can still see you so I keep your form in line and can keep you safe while pushing you to your max! . . . This was a tough class today and we were totally spent by the end of it, but DAMN did we feel good after!! . . . Wanna try out a class?
