We all fall off the wagon sometimes. It’s normal. But what’s important is that we bounce back and get back on the wagon. . When I started my at home workouts and drinking my superfoods shakes, I was all in. I worked hard and lost 35 pounds in 5 months and I worked hard to keep it off for another 4 months. But then life got busy, and I used it as an excuse. I was working 70 hours a week between teaching and coaching dance and my boyfriend and I had just started dating. And slowly 15 pounds crept back up on me and I lost some of that muscle tone I had worked so hard for. I was discouraged. . But then dance season was over and I decided it was time to drop my excuses (again). I started 80 Day Obsession and with lots of commitment and accountability from my supportive community if ladies, those 15 pounds went back off within 40 days. . I still make mistakes, I still have unplanned cheat meals, I still miss workouts, I still miss my superfoods some days. And that’s okay, we’re not meant to be perfect. Just better than the person we were yesterday. . Have you gotten off track with yourself and are ready to get back on? I will be honest, moving to Seattle was not my first choice. Leaving the familiar for the unknown is scary, and I wasn't sure if I was up for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But, heading to the PNW has been a fabulous adventure. 🌲 . Small rant coming: my least fav thing people bring up about my workout journey & the products I sell is that they are afraid the products won’t work. Now, there’s truly only one reason they could say that to me & that’s because they don’t see results on me that they envy. Aside from the fact that this tears me down real quick....it’s not the products I have a problem believing in...it’s me I have a problem believing in. . Most people don’t gain weight because they decide one day that they’d like to feel uncomfortable in their skin; there’s almost always a mental side to it. So I promise you these products work...I’ve witnessed them working...when you don’t see me losing weight...it’s me that’s not working. Plain and simple. I have to work on my confidence, motivation, self worth...everyday to get to the point where I can allow these products to help me in the way they can. . Some may think this is embarrassing for me to say, but I am always straight forward. I’m an open book & I’m human. I fall, but I pick myself up again. Every. Single. Time. 💗 . Today I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw a post from a teenage acquaintance, the post only contain her weight and height. 13 other girls also comment there hieght and weight. I found this post to be super upsetting and the spent a great deal of time reflecting on it. I could easily write a thesis on the issue, and everything it brought up for me. It boils down to the fact that weight is truly just a number! It doesn't reflect how strong you are, or more important ly how amazing you are as a person. I remember when I was 14 I saw somewhere that Jessica Simpson, who is my height, was only 110 lbs and it messed with my head! It took me a long time to realize that body was different and perfect the way it was. I don't want to preach to the choir because lady and a lot of men knows exactly what I am talking about but I needed to get it off my chest!

It feels so freaking good to feel like myself again & to actually be able to BREATHE during my workouts 🙌🏼 For the last several months I've been dealing with a large nasal polyp/blockage-- it got to the point where it was affecting my breathing, voice, causing me headaches & discomfort. Last Friday I underwent surgery to get the polyp removed and my sinuses cleaned out. I cannot even begin to explain to you how much better I feel. I can breathe without difficulty, my sleep is a thousand times better, no more headaches and I was actually able to push myself in my workout without feeling like I was going to pass out. This is the second time in about 8 years that I've had to have this surgery. ✖️Never miss a Monday!! Lack of sleep and jet lag hasn’t left me feeling my strongest. But it hasn’t stopped me MOVING either. I know my own body, I wasn’t even going to attempt my usual Monday evening body combat class or weights today. After over 12 hours of travelling followed by my first day back in the office, I did feel like I needed to get the sweat flowing though. HOW TO DO A PROPER PUSH-UP — Pushups are something I pride myself on being able to do well. I’ve realized that when I see people do pushups with bad form I actually cringe and a small part of me dies inside 😂 — Pushups are a hard move but you can absolutely work up to doing them with amazing form! The first few clips show common mistakes people make when doing pushups and the last two clips show pushups with correct form. — Here’s some tips: ✖️Don’t feel like you have to get close to the floor when you are first starting out. A lot of times people try to “get closer to the floor” by dropping their chins toward their chest and lowering their neck - STOOOOOOPPP. It’s ok to do a small range of motion at first! ✖️If your hips are piked up I need you to engage your core & your glutes and lower down so your body is in a PLANK (planks are FLAT). Drop to your knees if you need to. ✖️If your hips are sagging down, again you really need to focus on engaging your core & squeezing your glutes so your body is in a plank - having a sag in your lower back can cause some serious pain and it indicates a weak core -> maybe start by holding planks before you progress to pushups ✖️To get better- start on your knees with good form (even if you have to reduce range of motion) and work your way up to your toes. Try to do 10 when you wake up and 10 before you go to sleep and slowly increase either the number or work your way up to your toes. Keep alignment - shoulders, elbows, & wrists should be one straight line | and your ears, shoulders, hips, and ankles should be in a line — Any questions??? Comment below!
