Gardening is a lot of work!
And as I sit here weeding this patch that I neglected for the last half of the Summer... I can’t help but reflect on how similar it is to ANY goal your working towards
1) the results don’t come overnight
2) you have to dedicate CONSISTENT action with a firm BELIEF that SOMETHING good is going to come out of showing up day in and day out... Otherwise, it’s easy to throw down the gloves and say “what’s the point?” 🤷🏻♀️ 3) The fruit or vegetables that it yields are totally worth the work, and the reward that comes months after the prep began, is enough to keep you going, but you’ll never get there if you don’t just LEAN IN and START SOMEWHERE!
Lately, I’ve had a major gut check on a few fronts, and the self-reflection has been painful, but healing... Every perceived failure, mistake, or burned up neglected garden is JUST a GROWING experience!
Not an ENDING!
So yes, sometimes it’s ok to have a little pity party and self-reflection, but my dear... At some point, you gotta ask yourself-
At what point am I going to PICK UP THE GLOVES and GO BACK TO WORK!
Because as much as you hide, or pretend you can’t see the mess, or you don’t have time to fix it... You and I both know, we’re just kidding ourselves, and that makes us feel even worse!
Happiness + success don’t come FREE, and they don’t come EASY... But they’re also NOT THAT HARD, and the way to get there isn’t that COMPLICATED.
So keep your priorities front and center, keep it STUPID SIMPLE, SHOW UP, and TRUST the long term process!
And if no one else tells you today... I BELIEVE IN YOU!!! 😘💪🏻💕
