Today, @ had the opportunity to celebrate the life of one of her friends. And, following that, she had the opportunity to rock a really impressive workout with @ (seriously, Shannon is a badass- check out the video of their workout- link in comments). Shannon’s dad helped watch Penny until I woke up (). But then…Penny and I were on our own all day!
We watched some football, read some books, hung some snowflake lights that Penny absolutely loves. And, once again- we packed up our medical go-bag, our suction machine, and our favorite bouncy chair and we headed to the basement for today’s workout.
It’s probably the motion and the funny noises that her dad makes, but Penny really does enjoy being there for my workouts. She kicks her feet and flashes her beautiful beaming eyes at me, and follows my every movement.
Today, was Answers, Boat Pose, and Front Raises. 1 minute intervals for each exercise, 5 circuits (15 minutes total). While I don’t take any days off from working out, I do try to listen to my body- and today, I slowed the pace a just a bit.
I is for importance. What is important in my life today? A lot of things in my life declare themselves as important, but I get to decide if they are or not. And, a lot of things that may default to “important” when I think on them, have less importance than I instinctively assign to them. Further, though I may label something as “important”, if I don’t marry the label with effort- it’s meaningless. Today, my thoughts, my intentions, my words, and my actions all demonstrate that love, family, and health hold the most importance in my life. What is important to you?
