Big cottonwood half 😍 I’ve been totally dreading this race, got some great advice from a great friend “just have fun, enjoy the scenery, and be thankful you can run it” Ended up having so much! Omg this banana bread was so good!! 5 very ripe bananas (mix with mixer) Add 1 1/2 cup almond flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1 egg Mix again 3 TBSP stevia sugar replacement Sprinkle cinnamon Mix I added 10 semi sweet chic chips for my kids 😬 but would have been just as good without any. Stuffed bell peppers Cut the center and top off put standing up in vegetable steamer season with taco seasoning and add a little water. I get asked for the recipe of my Pb balls all the time, but I’ve never measured it. Carbs- to eat them or not????? I get told ALL the time “I’m afraid of carbs and don’t want to eat them” But also get told all the “I have such a sweet tooth and can’t stop the night cravings!” Here’s what I have to tell you.. Your body needs carbs, proteins, veggies, fruit and good fats. Your body craves sugars and junk when your body is missing nutrients, and those are a quick fix. By adding even just carbs with breakfast and lunch you will be amazed how much better you will fell at night. Here’s the trick though- healthy carbs- old fashioned oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, couscous, rice cakes, beans- try to primarily stick with these. And get them in earlier in day not before bed. First time my daughter attempted to ride her bike on our run instead of stroller. She made it 2.5 miles (2.5 super slow miles!!). It was hard to not get frustrated since that was suppose to be my run, but then I reminded myself that my kids wanting to be involved in living a healthy life is more important then me getting a great workout! The BEST time to workout is.... whenever you WILL workout! I get asked this question a lot, and the answer is whenever is best for you! I’m a single mom of two and the best time for me is early in morning before my kids wake up, once they are up who knows what will come up and get in the way of me working out. But like I said look at your schedule and see what works best for you! However I will suggest if doing cardio in morning do it on an empty stomach, and eat something small before weights. Who loves chocolate besides me???? We’ve all heard that chocolate “can be healthy” for us, and most of us know that “dark chocolate” is the chocolate that can be healthy for us. But did you know it’s not just any dark chocolate?? If you buy quality dark chocolate with a high cocoa content (70% or higher) then it is actually quite nutritious. It contains a decent amount of soluble fiber and is loaded with minerals. Of course, 100 grams (3.5 ounces) is a fairly large amount and not something you should be consuming daily. All these nutrients also come with 600 calories and moderate amounts of sugar. For this reason, dark chocolate is best consumed in moderation. The fatty acid profile of cocoa and dark chocolate is excellent. The fats are mostly saturated and monounsaturated, with small amounts of polyunsaturates.
