HIGH ESTROGEN or ESTROGEN DOMINANCE -- In my practice, when I work with clients to test hormone levels many of my women clients present with high estrogen levels or estrogen dominance -- this can cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated symptoms including sugar cravings, fibroids, heavy periods, histamine intolerance, fibrocystic breasts, fluid retention, mood issues, brain fog and headaches among others (FYI estrogen dominance is when estrogen levels are actually low or normal but progesterone is low in comparison to estrogen). .
Diet can play a huge role in balancing your hormones (or throwing them out of whack) -- I know I say this a lot but it's really about eating a nutrient-rich, whole foods-based, anti-inflammatory diet and then tweaking your diet with specific foods and supplements that can help balance your particular sex hormones -- speaking of which, I'm talking to @bustle today not only about specific foods you can include in your diet to help lower estrogen levels, I'm also sharing what can spike estrogen (and what I recommend you leave out of your diet if your levels are high) -- head to the direct link in bio for the scoop!
And, if you are interested in looking at your hormone levels, I run a full panel that looks at cortisol, DHEA-S, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and their metabolites and I tailor nutrition and nutritional supplements to lab results to help in supporting hormone balance...you can head to the welcome page on my website for details. #hormonehealth
