My t-shirt says "The babe with the power". I should probably wear this shirt more often. Though a quote from "The Labyrinth" (RIP David Bowie) it speaks to me. I am the babe with the power. He speaks to magick in a casual way saying the babe with the power has "The power of hoodoo/voodoo/you do/do what?/remind me of the babe". Not until now do I realize how powerful that actually is! As a kid we gloss over such things.
I am magick. My words are magick! My poetry notebook is called the "Lyrical Spellbook" for a reason. This is my Alice notebook. Believing in six impossible things before breakfast IS powerful. (Magick is in belief. See their connections?) My friends call my poetry notebook the Bible, which some believe has spells in psalms.
The point being, there is power, magick in the written word. That's why it's so hard to know if an author is alive or from the past. Depending on how archaic the language. Regardless the messages float through time. Love, struggle, peace, hope, family, and on and on. A piece of us, our energy touches people way past our bodies. That's magick. I plan to be an ancestor in this way. Will you read me and pass me on?
