If someone where to tell you to work toward a promotion at work, spend more time with your kids, make sure to have time for yourself, travel more, and become more financially sound all at the same time, would any of it actually get done?
More than likely, pressures and stress would cause a catastrophic cascade of events and every area would be worse off.
The same goes for using cues to coach, especially for beginners.
Find the one area most vital to improvement. Apply a verbal cue, something that makes sense to the athlete (this can vary greatly) that they can apply to the movement (reach high, punch, pull up, fast hands, ect..) Combine this with technical analysis via video, visual demonstration, and light technical movement until improved, THEN, move on to the next.
Likely, the most important cue may act as a catalyst for improvement in other areas!
