(Local Weather Update for Western New York)
Slight Risk of Severe Thunderstorms issued by the SPC for all of WNY for Friday Evening. Sunshine is expected first thing Friday Morning into early Afternoon. This will likely to cause more than enough Instability/Destabilization to support Storm development and can cause some of them to turn Strong to Severe ahead of a Strong Cold Front. More of a Damaging Wind Threat is expected as were expected more of a Squall line type of event. Even outside of any Thunderstorm development, Wind Gusts will be picking up substantially with Sustained Winds at 20 to 30 mph with some occasional Gusts up to 50 mph. Wind Advisories may be issued because of the magnitude of these winds that could cause some Tree and Property damage. Temperatures could climb into the Lower even mid 80s for Daytime Highs on Friday. Behind the Cold Front, Temperatures will substantially go down. Saturday and Sundays Highs could range from the Lower 60s to the Upper 60s. On Saturday, speaking of Fall like weather, Astronomical Fall begins at 9:45 PM.
