It's our goal to see big improvements to the waterproofing standards across the building industry. We all need to be part of the change because it's an industry-wide problem.
There are so many factors contributing to the poor quality waterproofing. With so many homes, apartments and buildings being created in such a short space of time, corners have been cut. There is a clear lack of education, consistent incorrect application and use of inferior products.
To add to the potential problems, supervision on the building site is not what it used to be. These days, certifiers rarely seem to physically check things, instead relying on seeing certificates.
What do you think the issues are? And what are you doing to improve the work you're doing and the culture in the industry?
