Have you ever wanted to be lost in the clouds?
I'd named a place in a novel I'd written (Yes, I'm a novelist) these exact words thinking it was a random thought.
But it wasn't. I've literally wanted to be lost up there where the only sounds are those of tranquility.
In this picture, I was in seventh heaven, or so it seemed considering the setting. It was helped by the fact that it'd been a perfect day.
The ride up Siripaye Mountain had been bumpy (quite literally) to say the least. But all things worth attaining require us to go through impossible roads. And believe me, that road had me thinking there was no way we'd get to the top in one piece.
When we did, however, I took at least an half hour - after all the running around like a maniac - to lie sprawled on my back and look straight up in the clouds.
It was therapeutic. That's what travelling does to you. Way up in the mountains I had clarity, a gift bestowed maybe only to those when nearest to the heavens.
The impossible happened up there too. I didn't care how much I'd spent to get here.
The personal sacrifices, the monetary hit I'd taken, the inevitability of normal life to be resumed later on; it was laughably silly.
At a time when life was teeming in me most, I gave up on caring about it.
And that's perfection for you. (Well, for me, seeing as I'm the one who did the travelling and not you, but you get the point)
We'll be presenting you with travel vlogs of my adventures as well as several blog posts for you to get your travel gear on. Priceless information about experience, budget and sights to see on your way.
