Throw back to the music video i did for Indigo King's "Metaphor," shot December 2016.
Selection of a few of my favorite shots from the project. We filmed one day on a cheap green screen set up at the band's home, and the rest was done in post. The idea for the project morphed a little from preproduction to post, but the flexibility jn post allowed me to still meet the band's vision.
This was the largest number of vfx shots i had done for one project, and the rainbow body trails was an effect proposed by band's lead singer on this track, Faiz, taking inspiration from the promo artwork for Jim Caffigan's Cinco on Netflix. It took a bit of testing to find a way to make the effect work, and be repeatable in an easy way. If you watch the music video, you can clearly see how i got better at doing the effect, comparing a few of the times it appears.
Ultimately, some of the most fun i had with this project was just in trying to find new and different ways to generate the backgrounds that appear throughout the video. In this regard, the Universe tools from Red Giant were a god send. This video would not have been possible without it.
