Mama's Girl - Maganda Pero.
Una sa lahat, when the film ended, what's noticeable sa mga kasabay kong nanonood, lalo na sa mga babae was that they were sobbing. Meron pa akong nakita na nanay that was consoling her daughter while I was walking outside the theatre. Well, I think the movie is very touching kung babae ka, specifically, kung mama's girl ka.
For me it felt like I watched two different kind of movies. The first half of it had a very messy storytelling, not to mention the slow pacing and bad editing. Parang walang patutunguhan yung kwento. But when the movie reached its second half, that's the time I saw what's the film was all about. Everything started to make sense, and it got my attention until the end. It was a sweet and heartfelt movie after all.
Diego and Sofia's chemistry was very strong in this movie, kilig kung kilig. Sylvia Sanchez was a bit under utilized, but every time she's in it, she steals the show. I just wish the movie had a better editing, and it could use an improvement on its storytelling, lalo na sa first half nito.
This would make a great daughter-mother bonding time, dala lang kayo ng tissue dahil it'll surely make you cry, and I guess you can also forget the bad editing of the movie, lalo na kung mas busy ka na sa pagpipigil ng tears mo.
