Like baby giraffe learning to bench. Left the #uspa cert weekend with a brand new bench and I feel like I need training wheels. New grip, new hand spacing, new wrist angle, new elbow slot, new target, better arch, new foot position, and a stronger leg drive. Trying to apply all the new cues made tonight’s work a challenge in form and patience. Another #benchpress day training log. 3x8 @ 225lbs. Then dropped to 205LBS and did 3 sets (12 reps, 11 reps, 10 reps). #closegripbench 3 sets of 165lbs (12, 12, 11). Carb Confessions day....12?...I was tempted to just post a kettlebell workout for page filler yesterday but got lazy and decided not to. All these honest confessionals take the heart and soul out of a man. I actually felt good warming up to this sqaut usually I have no concept of a percentage when I work up to working sets so 405x10 went fine (no video so it didn't happen) slapped another 45 on each side and felt every muscle fiber in my body on this 495 single. I might not have recovered from my meet 2 weeks ago but that's impossible because I recover like the black wolverine.....i might have to turn this page into a bench only for a while untill my legs heal. Shoulders and deadlifts tonight. Shoulder press is almost back to where it was. Had a 3x3 tonight that went 210, 215, and then 225. Tried 230 after for fun but was a little too gased and dropped to 225 for a easy double. Dropped deficit deadlifts to 365(60%) for 6x3 and used a stiff bar. Trying not to kill myself before squat day. Diet has been on point lately which is a huge plus. No more splurging every other day on junk. Eating around 3000 a day which seems to he a good starting point for the cut. Also a tip to anyone trying to clean up your diet. Don't cut everything out all at once or you're bound to have some strong cravings.
