Back with with the utmost heat and this time we got another graphic paying homage to a 90’s icon, the one and only Wet Willy! He was a part of skate brand by the name of “World Industries”. The brand was originally founded in 1987 by a guy named Steve Rocco and blew tf up thru out the 90’s, even reaching the spot of the #1 skate brand at the time. Eventually thou In 1998 Rocco and his now team of skaters and other partners decided to hang the towel while the brand was at its peak and sold 70% of the brand for $28 million. The whole brand was based around Three main characters. The first two named “Flame Boy” and “Wet Willy” which were constantly fighting each other in a very Tom and Jerry type of style expect a lil more graphic and then you had “Devil Man”which was more like their higher being boss who was always over them just chillin in the cut. It was simple but it worked, even I as a kid loved it. I remember going to the tech deck section in Walmart as a kid and specifically looking for World Industries decks. It’s definitely a brand I respect and consider a classic so when I saw Utmost had done a Tee of them I had to get it !! They made two versions of this tee, a Flame Boy and Wet Willy both in grey, white and black. The graphic it self is super simple too, you got utmost branding in a very cartoonist font with Wet Willy In the middle as the “O”. Like I said it’s simple but the people who know the brand still appreciate the characters on there. I’m for sure going to buy the Flame Boy version of this tee when I get the chance so look out for that.
