So this has just happened and I honestly could not be any happier. Today I had dinner at my grandparents home for the first time in many years (I still ate there a few times in the last few years but I’d always take my food with me because, according to my stupid brain, my grandmother uses way too much olive oil whenever she cooks lol). Today though, I ate everything she cooked for me, I mean, how could I not eat it when she cooked a vegan dish on the side just for me?! Most grandparents don’t even know what the word “vegan” means, so it’s pretty incredible what she has just done! I’m so surprised and proud!! 🙈😍 It was absolutely delicious! A deep plate of pasta, beans and veggies (carrots 🥕, broccoli 🥦, corn 🌽 and green beans ☺️). She cooked with olive oil ofc, but I don’t really care that much anymore... I almost cried of happiness when I realised she had cooked this especially for me. I’m so happy that although she doesn’t really support my vegan lifestyle (she is 82, so ya know, it’s complicated), she at least respects me as a human being and never makes those stupid anti-vegan jokes! My grandparents just love me exactly how I am and that’s incredibly comforting 💕 I know that even a couple of months ago she wouldn’t cook anything for me because she knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it without freaking out. But today I did it and it was not that hard! I love my grandparents so so much ❤️ they raised me as if I was their own child and my parents and I even lived with them until I was 5 years old. Even after moving to a new house, I’d still spend all my free time with them. You want a smaller waist? Don't train your side abs too much! It's a fault to believe, that you will lose fat on focused parts. PSA: Delicious plant-based nutrient dense meals do not have to be complicated. You can sub out one or two of your animal-based products with vegan alternatives, or simply make a banging stir fry like this one! Use beans/legumes as the base, add in as many veggies as you want, flavor it with the spices or dressings you prefer, and serve it with a side of greens. It’s that simple! This is a chickpea and veggie stir fry with some smoked tofu, some spices, and topped with some hot sauce. Pair this with a kale salad drenched in an easy to make tahini and date dressing, add a few pieces of diced tomato, and you’re golden. No more excuses that it’s “too hard to go vegan” or “I wouldn’t know what to eat”. It’s easy, it’s delicious, and it always looks pretty for Instagram. ✌️🌱

Rear Delt Barbell Row. Target: Deltoid, Posterior Bend knees slightly and tilt torso over by bending at the hips. Try to maintain a flat back, 45 degree angle will not be flat enough to target to rear delts. Grab the bar with a grip slightly wider than shoulder width and pull the bar to upper chest area. Make sure to get your elbows behind your shoulders to really target the rear delts. Elbows need to be out to the side while performing a rear delt row, the more tucked in your elbows are the more the latissimus dorsi will take over. Grow something, Learn something. #CondoCrops #OrganicGarden So apparently #potatoes have "fruit". 😮. ___ Potatoes grow underground so when I saw these berry-like things hanging where the potato flowers used to be, I was very curious to see what they were. Come to find that depending on the type of potato (I planted Yukon Gold) and having the right growing conditions, you can get a potato plant to not only produce flowers but fruit as well. There is even more interesting stuff, for example, inside this "fruit" are the actual potatoes seeds - between 100-300 seeds! Additionally, you don't want to eat the fruit or seeds because they are poisonous. 🤒 . Nature's little defense mechanism to help the plants reproduce. Lastly, most people dont plant the seeds because not only can they take years to mature and produce another potato plant, but the potatoes actually produced from that seed can wind up being a different variety of potato. This is why most people just use the "eyes" of potatoes...they are basically clones of the potatoes they are grown from. Learning something new every day. 🥔. ____ P.S. HOW DO YOU START YOUR MORNING? ~ How you start your morning says a lot to me. I look forward to this every night before I go to bed and it’s changed my outlook on waking up in the morning. I used to hit the snooze button for like 30 minutes and then rush around like an a$$. That’s no way to live your life. I do this every morning followed by some other weird things no ones probably interested in but the point of it all is to create a habit that you look forward to doing in the morning before you have to do anything else. I do this at 5AM 7 days a week whether I’m working or not. My morning routine lasts about 40-60 minutes depending on how sluggish I am but I love waking up every morning. I chose the Russian Kettlebell Swing because it’s an exercise that’s challenging and will get my heart rate up extremely fast. This only takes a little over a minute and I’m sucking wind with my heart jumping out of my chest afterwards. Another reason I choose the KB Swing is because you can do it barefoot, I don’t need to put on shoes I can just get right to business. I also do it outside in our screened patio for the nature gains. ALSO - Lol at the sped up noises of me doing the lift 😂😂😂 #TheFitnessExperimenter

The goal of today was to pick heavy sh☆t up. Tried to challenge myself with some 315 # Deadlifts to start & worked into 400 # Farmers Carry. Still need to work on that form for sure.
