What better way then to kick off your day with a delicious chocolate protein ball? 🍫
These protein balls are super easy to make and can be customized to whatever you want! They are such an easy snack to grab and go, and because of the protein and carbs, they are a great post workout recovery snack. Also, there is no refined sugar!! As always, I made mine chocolate flavor, but if you use vanilla protein powder you can change it up. Also, I realize a lot of my recipes have protein powder in them; that's because protein powder is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get your protein in! Mine costs around 83 cents per servings and has 24 grams of protein! However, let me know if you want more recipes without the supplement. .
Recipe: Soak 6-7 dates in about 2 cups boiling water for about 10 min, just so they're soft enough to blend. In a blender cup, add the dates with the water, 1 scoop of @mrm_usa protein powder, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, 1/2 cup of rolled oats, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth (may need to add some almond milk to get the right texture). I rolled mine in desiccated coconut but you can get created and do cocoa nibs, pretzel pieces, nuts, etc! Let me know if you try it out #theminifridgeblog
