I had an amazing three months seeing my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) symptoms getting better and better. I thought ‘this is it!’! Finally, everything is going well! I found my way to clear skin, regular cycles and good sleep.
However, past few weeks weren’t that great! .
- My period is 2 weeks late
- I sleep patterns have changed again. I wake up at 4-4:30am and can’t go back to sleep, which leaves me with 6h or maximum 6h and 30min sleep.
It’s really frustrating! Insomnia drives me crazy more than anything else!! People ask me, if I tried ‘these’ herbs or ‘this and that’ and yes, I think I tried almost everything!
It makes feel hopeless more than ever before! Thoughts like “Is plant-based lifestyle doing any good for me’’ starting to creep in.
I really want to be transparent with you.
I see so many social media accounts sharing their vegan journey, explaining how plant based lifestyle was the best choice they have ever made.
Well, I really wish I felt this way!
I believe that diet, stress levels, sleep and exercise are the key components to feeling your best every day.
My health is my No.1 priority.
I constantly try to improve my choices, however, I came to the point where I no longer know what to do.
Well, there are two things that I suspect: .
- I am possibly lacking of something, which leads me to hormonal imbalances. I had my B12, folic acid, magnesium, manganese, calcium, vitamin D and Zinc levels checked out so far. My vitamin D and zinc levels were a little low, which I have already sorted out. However, I still want to get my Iron, the rest of the B groups vitamins, vitamin E and Omega 3/6 ratios tested. .
- Hormonal imbalance is causing me Adrenal Fatigue problems - my cortisol levels start to increase at night, often times waking me up at 3-4am.
So, my next step is to get these tests done one by one and see what is going on with my body!
Please let me know if any of you are or have been in a similar situation. I really want to hear your story! ❤️ #vegan #plantbased #nutrition #floliving #flosisters #vegancommunity #hormones #healthylifestyle #pcos #pcosfighter #veganism #selfcare #hormoneimbalance #adrenalfatigue
