And we’re talking about finding places to stay while you’re traveling.
It’s funny to me— I’ve stayed in a couple really nice hotels this year, unplanned, and I realized that I didn’t get anything more out of the experience than I would staying somewhere else. I got extreme comfort which can be nice, and a chance to reflect on my very contrasting experiences.
This picture was taken while I was camping out with @thievingsort. We just drove into the forest on some back dirt roads, walked into the woods and found a place to set up camp. That was our spot for the night. 👣🏕
So, theres a many options when you’re considering places to stay that may be available to you. Here they are:
1. Use the @couchsurfing app and community
2. Camp in a tent
3. Sleep outdoors in a tent or hammock -Stay with folks you meet on the road
5. Do a work exchange or use @wwoofusa for WWOOFing
6. Motels, Hotels and Inns (usually my last resort)
Not familiar with some of these terms or resources? Not familiar with the safety level of these options? No problem. In my travel guide, Will Work For Food, we discuss each option in detail. We discuss safety, how to get started when you choose and option and much more.
I’m here to guide you as much as I can with each step of the way. DM me for more info! (I’m just remembering how much detail this book has + how awesome it is as I make these posts.) happy travels! ✨🌈
