Eat yo #veggies 💪🏽✨

Most of us would agree that the more fruit and veg we include in our diet the healthier you’re going to be over time.
When fruits and vegetables are juiced, the liquid and the fiber are separated. In the liquid is all the nutritional components of that whole food. The fiber is no longer necessary because the liquid is easily absorbed into our blood stream, requiring almost no effort from our digestive system. Just be sure to use a cold press juicer not a centrifugal juicer when possible, and, juice seasonal fruits and vegetables.
WHY IS JUICING THEM NECESSARY? - -It allows for the body to absorb a lot more nutrients at once then if you were to eat them. -Floods the body with vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients
-You get the daily recommended dose of fruits and veg you might not normally eat
-Eat more of a specific fruit or veg that can target specific organs of the body with which you might be having trouble.
-Feed the good bacteria in the gut
-Improve digestive health
-DETOX: the most powerful thing about juicing is when done extendedly, the digestive system is able to rest and your body can begin to put energy into ‘cleaning the house’ and REGENERATING.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN JUICE FASTING
Juice fasting can be an energy filled and productive, blissful time for some. Very different to a water fast. There is no limit to the amount of juice you can consume. The fast/feast could last up to 60 days if you wish, perhaps longer. Watch a documentary called Fat Sick and Nearly Dead where you will see a 60 day juice fast transform the life of @joethejuicer .
WHAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE is a ‘healing crisis’, where the body is venting so much toxicity that it can be quite uncomfortable. This may come and go as the fast continues but is a sign of healing. You might experience:
- skin breakouts
- mood swings
- runny nose
- bad breath
- body odor
- aches and pains
Support the body by drinking plenty of water, going for walks, and breath work. 📷: @livepurejenna
