| Cheers to 2017, Hello 2018 | 🎊
2017 was a tremendous year for so many reasons.
Professionally, I graduated with my Master’s of Science degree after a long two years of working full-time and being a grad student. I got a promotion to Senior Probation Officer and really began taking positions of leadership in Hennepin County.
Socially, I focused on cultivating friendships with like-minded people who were on a constant journey to better themselves. I cut toxic people out of my life and focused on quality over quantity. I made more of an effort to spend time with family, who I have learned come before anything else. ___________________________________________________________
Physically, I changed to a vegan diet and committed myself to a healthy lifestyle for the first time in my life. I became a member of the best gym in the world and met some of the most inspiring people I’ve had the chance to befriend. Through developing these new healthy habits, I’ve lost 30 pounds and have never felt better physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. ___________________________________________________________
Personally, I’ve had a year full of introspection and a shift in my attitude about the way that I want to live my life. This has been a year of letting go, being honest with myself, humility, and constant emotional and spiritual growth. I’ve set aside more time for myself and doing what makes me happy. I’ve become more focused on exploring and appreciating every little thing this crazy life has to offer. I’ve learned the importance of mindfulness and being present in every moment. ___________________________________________________________
I am so thankful for this year and look forward to what 2018 is going to bring!
Happy New Year, friends! 🎉
