We have exciting news we’d like to share with our friends! •
Wesley and I are now Airbnb hosts (you can also find us on Glamping Hub and VRBO!) to two amazing properties in the North Georgia Mountains. The two properties were originally designed and developed by our dear neighbors and friends, Jeffrey and Fabrizio Tapia. An opportunity arose, and Wesley and I couldn’t resist. •
The business was first founded by the Tapias. They named the business Elatase’Yi. This is a Cherokee term that can be translated as “green, verdant earth,” suggesting fresh springing vegetation. Elatse’Yi was variously spelled Ellijay, Elejoy, and Allagae. Wesley and I chose to keep the name Elatse’yi for the Mountain Retreat. For me, the name evoked a sense of gratitude. I felt as though Elatse’Yi brings remembrance and honor to the people who first lived on and enjoyed this green, verdant Ellijay, of which many people love and enjoy today.
The 1977 Sovereign Airstream and 8 meter Argentine Geodesic Dome are all about disconnecting from the busyness and stress of life. The Mountain Retreat encourages reconnecting with self: spiritually, mentally, emotionally. Elatse’Yi allows you to come as you are and leave revived, rejuvenated and reinvented, taking a piece of Elatse’yi wherever you go. •
So, to say we’re excited is an understatement! We’re excited for a new adventure and look forward to hosting many new guests and friends this year! Click on the link in my profile and please follow us over at @elatseyi !!! You can also find us on Facebook at Elatseyi.
